DOES IMMORTELLE MAKE YOU IMMORTAL? Unfortunately, we all know the answer... but the radiant beauty of the long-lasting yellow helichrysum flower has earned it the name Immortelle, which also derives from helios (sun) and chrysis (gold). A symbol of love, it has long been used to create crowns for Apollo and later for brides. Used by the ancients as a decoction to clear the respiratory tract or for its diuretic effects, it was particularly used after battles to quickly heal wounds and shocks. Today this oil is no longer used on the battlefield, but is found in many gyms and in family first aid kits. It is a highly coveted oil, whose favorite areas (around the Mediterranean) are increasingly burned or looted, which makes it a rare, exceptional, expensive and precious oil. It should not be confused with other varieties of helichrysum from the Balkans or Madagascar, which have different properties.
