Description
Mitochondria. Diagnosis of mitochondrial damage and effective methods of therapy, Dr. Bodo Kuklinski
About the book
Mitochondria. Diagnosis of mitochondrial damage and effective methods of therapy is the first Polish edition of the most important compendium from the point of view of mitochondrial medicine. In the book, Dr. Bodo Kuklinski introduces us to the issue of biochemical processes that take place in the human body and presents evidence of the high efficiency of mitochondrial therapies in the case of lifestyle diseases.
The compendium is intended for doctors, therapists, dieticians and patients. Its greatest advantage is a detailed discussion of individual patient cases, starting from a medical interview, through targeted mitochondrial diagnostics and ending with individually composed therapy.
About the author of the book
Bodo Kuklinski, MD, PhD – an outstanding physician and mitochondrial disease diagnostician, specialist in internal medicine and environmental medicine. Pioneer of practical mitochondrial medicine in Germany. Thanks to the method he developed for the diagnosis of patients, based on an extensive interview and analysis, among other things, the biochemical factors of the body, contributed to changing the approach to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
What will you learn from the compendium and who is it for?
Why the efficiency of the cell, and especially the efficiency of its mitochondria, determines human life and health. How to diagnose the efficiency of mitochondria and how to maintain their number and proper activity in the cell and therefore how to effectively treat many chronic diseases. Why efficient mitochondria have such a significant impact on the correct course of all life processes in the body, on our condition, efficiency and health. Why mitochondrial dysfunctions have a direct impact on: decreased muscle performance, decreased concentration, memory impairment, vision and hearing problems. Moreover, it weakens the immune system and causes any inflammatory processes in the body that lead to many chronic diseases (cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, diseases of the heart and circulatory system).
Why mitochondria have a negative impact: stress, excessive physical and mental exertion, diseases, drug administration and aging processes. Why effective mitochondria are of indisputable importance for the correct performance of all life processes in the body, for our condition, efficiency and, in general, for the maintenance of health. From the compendium you will learn about the effectiveness of mitochondrial therapy in the following cases: Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, autism, multiple sclerosis, dementia, diabetes, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, diseases of the heart and circulatory system, infertility, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and others thyroid diseases, as well as many others. The compendium is a good solution for doctors, therapists, dietitians and patients alike.
What is mitochondrial medicine?
Mitochondrial medicine is classical medicine. However, it is not a specialization that can be treated analogously to, for example, ophthalmology, laryngology or cardiology, if the treatment refers to a specific organ. It is also not a form of auxiliary or complementary treatment. It is a completely independent discipline in which all biochemical processes occurring in the human body play a key role, or more precisely, the causes of disturbances in these processes. Mitochondrial medicine is therefore causal medicine, because its main assumption is to find the cause of inflammation (of disease) and to tailor targeted therapy according to the individual needs of the patient. Mitochondrial medicine is a branch of modern medicine that deals with the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by impaired mitochondrial function. Considering the cause of ailments in the treatment process is crucial not only for the effectiveness of the therapy, but also allows limiting the use of pharmacotherapy, which results, among other things, in comorbidities.
What does Dr. Bodo Kuklinski say about mitochondrial medicine?
"During pathology classes [during medical studies], a human being is divided into several individual organs (...) And thus, diseases of the eyes, skin, lungs, heart, digestive system, urinary-genital system, musculoskeletal, nervous. system and so on. Each specialist deals with his own organ, forgetting that a person is a whole, composed of many different organs. Meanwhile, each chronically diseased organ is located within the body, which has a biochemical problem within it. However, another specialist is responsible for other organs. Which ends up being another patient referral. The rest is done through pharmacotherapy. At university, future doctors learn that patients must be treated pharmacologically. No one informs them what diseases are associated with which disorders of metabolic processes and what measures they can use to get everything back on track. The real causes of diseases are too rarely sought in modern medicine. Instead, the doctor usually only treats the symptoms of the disease using pharmacological agents! It deals only with the so-called substitution parameters, which constantly cause various side effects in the patient. Medicines are, after all, foreign substances (xenobiotics) to our body that must be broken down and excreted, and thus constitute an additional burden on our body."
