Elderly - for patients aged > 75 years, it does not indicate any restriction.
The doses ensure an adequate systemic exposure, for body weights between 40-198 kg. The initial dose of 25 ml administered in 3 ampoules/day, after meals (recommended) with a sufficient amount of liquid, preferably plain water. After at least 12 weeks, the dose can decrease to 2 ampoules/day. The weekly administration of quantities greater than 500 ml is not recommended. When Nodi is added with the existing treatment with sulfonylurea or insulin, reducing the dose of sulfonylurea or insulin should be considered, in order to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia.
