Calcium alginate tamponade for moderately to heavily exuding wounds

SUPRASORB A Calcium Alginate Tampon 30 cm is a single-use tamponade specifically designed for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. It is suitable for the treatment of various chronic and acute wounds such as pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and split-thickness skin graft donor sites. The product is manufactured by ACA Müller IADAG Pharma AG.

What the product is used for

The tamponade is used to fill and cover wounds that produce a large amount of exudate. It is particularly suitable for wounds such as pressure ulcers, arterial and venous ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and split-thickness skin graft donor sites. Single use promotes hygienic application.

Ingredients

The calcium alginate compresses consist of calcium alginate fibers type I. The alginate fibers consist of approximately 60% mannuronic acid and approximately 40% guluronic acid.

Instructions for use

The tamponade is for single use only and should be freshly applied and completely disposed of after use. It is placed directly into or onto the moderately to heavily exuding wound, depending on the size and depth of the wound. Its use should be part of proper wound care. This product is for single use only and must not be reused. Ensure that all components are completely removed from the wound after use.
