Blephagel

Blephagel Thea is available as a sterile gel in an innovative tube that maintains the sterility of the contents throughout use, without the need for preservatives. Its packaging allows for precise and hygienic dosing, providing approximately 60 well-measured applications.

Blephagel Thea is particularly recommended for patients who require rigorous eyelid hygiene, including in the following conditions:

• Anterior and posterior blepharitis
• Chronic inflammation of the eyelids
• Dry eyes caused by meibomian gland dysfunction
• Eye lesions associated with rosacea
• Eye lesions caused by seborrheic dermatitis
• Increased eye sensitivity, including in contact lens wearers

Blephagel is recommended to be applied twice a day, in the morning and in the evening or whenever necessary to clean the eyelids.

When using for the first time, gently squeeze the front of the tube to facilitate the flow of gel to the dispenser pump. After this initial process, the pump should be activated by pressing three times in succession.

Blephagel Thea should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of its components.

The product is also not intended for direct application to the eyeball and should not be used if the tube is damaged or shows signs of contamination.

One of the defining features of Blephagel is its hypoallergenic formula and the absence of aggressive compounds, making it suitable for all skin types, including very sensitive skin.

Poloxamer 188, an essential ingredient in the product, helps to emulsify and gently remove mucous secretions, crusts and dead cells, helping to maintain an optimal balance of the local microflora.

Blephagel gel is generally well tolerated thanks to its gentle formula. In rare cases, users may experience minor reactions such as a slight burning sensation or temporary discomfort. If persistent side effects occur, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a specialist.

Blephagel does not interact with other medicines, as it is a product intended for external use only. Its application is compatible with other ophthalmic or dermatological treatments.

As Blephagel is intended for topical application, the risk of overdose is very low. However, excessive use may lead to excessive drying of the eyelid skin or minor discomfort. In such cases, it is recommended to adjust the frequency of application according to medical advice.

To maintain the efficacy and safety of the product, Blephagel should be stored at a temperature below 25°C, away from direct light and moisture. Once opened, the tube should be used within 8 weeks. It is also important not to cut the tube to avoid the risk of bacterial contamination.
