Gastrotuss is a medicine indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal or laryngopharyngeal reflux. It reduces the symptoms associated with these problems, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn or a lump in the throat.
Forms of release
Gastrotuss is available in the following variants:
- Gastrotuss Light anti-reflux syrup, low calorie, 200 ml
- Gastrotuss Baby anti-reflux syrup, 180 ml
Gastrotuss contains sorbitol, simethicone, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium alginate and other ingredients.
Indications
Gastrotuss is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal or laryngopharyngeal reflux. It relieves symptoms associated with these problems, such as regurgitation, heartburn or acid reflux, a lump in the throat or globus pharyngeus. It can also reduce rhinopharyngolaryngeal inflammation, belching, bloating, dysphonia or coughing associated with reflux. It is used as an adjunctive treatment for re-epithelialisation of the gastroesophageal mucosa.
Dosage and administration
Dosages vary depending on age and product type. Gastrotuss Light is suitable for adults and children over 3 years of age. Gastrotuss Baby is suitable for infants, including newborns, as well as older children and adults.
For adults and children over 12 years of age, a dose of 20 ml of Gastrotuss Light or Baby can be taken after main meals and before bedtime, or as directed by a doctor. For children aged 3-12 years, the recommended dose of Gastrotuss Light or Baby is 10-20 ml after main meals, at bedtime or as directed by a doctor. For children under 3 years of age, only Gastrotuss Baby is recommended – 5 ml after main meals and before bedtime. For newborns weighing less than 5 kg, the recommended dose of Gastrotuss Baby is 2.5-3 ml, approximately 5-10 minutes after a meal or as recommended by your doctor. If regurgitation persists, 1 ml may be added.
Contraindications
Gastrotuss is contraindicated in case of allergy to any of the ingredients.

No interactions with medicines or foods are known. Inform your doctor if any reactions occur during administration.

This medicine is generally safe and does not cause side effects.
Overdose
Take as recommended by your doctor and do not use in excess.
Storage
Store in a dry, cool place, away from heat and moisture.
