Inogest

Inogest contains 200 mcg of folic acid, 600 mg of N-acetylcysteine, a non-essential amino acid important in the body's antioxidant processes, 2000 mg of myo-inositol, a carbohydrate important in regulating insulin secretion, and 5000 mg of Nutriose fibre. The Nutriose soluble fibre complex in Inogest is obtained from cereals (oats and corn) and helps regulate carbohydrate metabolism. It does not contain gluten or lactose.

Inogest is a dietary supplement recommended for the relief of symptoms associated with polycystic ovary syndrome. Inogest regulates the frequency of the menstrual cycle, improves ovulation, increases fertility, relieves depression and reduces anxiety.

Inogest provides the body with a range of nutrients that are necessary due to increased physiological demand, thereby:

• Restoring the monthly frequency of the menstrual cycle
• Increasing the rate of the physiological ovulation process
• Improving the quality of oocytes
• Increasing the chances of becoming pregnant
• Increasing the chances and effectiveness of in vitro fertilisation procedures

Through the nutrients it provides to the body, Inogest influences carbohydrate metabolism, lowers blood sugar levels and insulin resistance, improving glucose tolerance. Inogest also influences the production of male hormones (androgens), lowering their levels. Inogest reduces blood lipid levels and aids weight loss, improving body mass index (BMI).

Inogest sachets are administered twice a day, at 12-hour intervals. The contents of one sachet should be dissolved in 150 ml of water, and the resulting drink has a pleasant mint flavour.

Inogest is recommended for women diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, an endocrine disorder that disrupts the frequency of the menstrual cycle, causing infertility.

Like all medicines, Inogest can cause a number of side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects are: abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, skin rash or itching.

Inogest may interfere with hunger metabolism because the inositol in this dietary supplement may induce hypoglycaemia. If you experience any side effects, stop taking Inogest and consult your doctor.
