Bayer is a large international company with a 150-year history. It specialises in two areas: healthcare and agriculture. Bayer's headquarters are located in Leverkusen, Germany.

Bayer's mission is "Science For A Better Life." The company's specialists are constantly conducting new research and developing innovative products to improve the health of not only humans, but also animals and plants.

The Bayer Group consists of several divisions. The Pharmaceuticals division develops prescription drugs for various fields of medicine, including cardiology, oncology, gynaecology, haematology and ophthalmology. The Pharmaceuticals division also includes the Radiology business unit, which develops and manufactures contrast agents and automatic injectors for areas such as X-ray surgery, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The Bayer Consumer Health division develops and manufactures vitamins, painkillers, cold remedies, dermatological products, and gastrointestinal treatments.

The Crop Science division focuses on agriculture. It works to create chemical and biological plant protection products, offers seeds, and develops comprehensive solutions for major crops.
