Biatain Silicone Foam Dressing

Biatain Silicone is a soft, flexible foam dressing with high absorbency and gentle silicone adhesion. Biatain Silicone can be used on a wide range of exuding wounds and is therefore an economical solution for a variety of exuding wounds.

Excellent absorption due to the unique foam structure:
Upon contact with exudate, Biatain Silicone expands and conforms to the contours of the wound and wound bed, enabling excellent absorption – even under compression. The unique 3D foam structure absorbs the wound exudate, channels it vertically away from the wound, and securely stores it along with the absorbent layer, while maintaining a moist wound environment to ensure optimal conditions for wound healing. Biatain Silicone's fluid absorption capacity guarantees excellent exudate management, minimizing the risk of maceration and leakage.

Gentle and secure hold:
The silicone adhesive provides a secure hold while minimizing pain when removing the dressing. The soft and flexible design of Biatain Silicone ensures a better fit to the wound and body. The foam pad sits flush with the skin, giving Biatain Silicone optimal comfort – even under compression.

Product composition:
Biatain Silicone is a soft and adaptable polyurethane foam dressing with a semi-permeable, bacteria- and water-repellent top film, an additional superabsorbent reservoir and a gentle silicone adhesive layer.

Use:
Biatain Silicone can be used for a wide range of exuding chronic and acute wounds, such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-infectious diabetic foot syndrome, split-thickness skin graft donor sites, and postoperative and traumatic wounds (e.g., abrasions, lacerations, or cuts). It can be used in combination with compression therapy and can be worn for up to 7 days.
