GASTROhealth® acts as a protective barrier for the gastric mucosa, being recommended for reducing the symptoms of gastritis, ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux. It can be used as a gastric dressing in case of treatment with medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

COMPOSITION

Each tablet contains:

Sodium alginate .............................…200 mg

Calcium carbonate …................................ 200 mg

Standardized marigold extract .... 30 mg

Standardized ginger extract ........ 30 mg

Excipients (sorbitol, mannitol, meat flavor, Mg stearate) qsad. 1 cp

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Administration: orally.

Dosage:

kitten

¼ tablet for weights less than 5 kg.

½ tablet for weights greater than 5 kg.

dog

1 tablet per 10 kg body weight.

COMPONENT PRESENTATION

Sodium alginate: is a naturally occurring substance that forms a bioadhesive gel when it comes into contact with calcium ions and gastric contents. This gel adheres to the gastric and esophageal mucosa, forming a protective barrier. Through this mechanism, sodium alginate prevents the action of pepsin and hydrochloric acid on the gastric mucosa. The gel formed floats on top of the gastric contents and forms a protective layer over the stomach contents, preventing gastric acid from leaving the stomach.‍

Marigold extract (Calendula oficinalis): due to its high saponin content, marigolds have a preventive and curative action in the case of gastric ulcers.‍

Calcium carbonate: belongs to the class of systemic antacids. In the stomach, it reacts with hydrochloric acid, resulting in calcium chloride. This neutralizes excess gastric acid.‍

Ginger extract (Zingiber officinale): Helps relieve nausea and bloating. Due to its content in phenolic compounds, ginger helps reduce irritation of the gastric mucosa.

Cautions

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Consult your veterinarian before using or extending the use of this product, as dosage or method of use may vary depending on the individual symptoms of the animal.

Due to the content of natural substances, it is possible to change the color of the product, but without affecting its quality.
