Gasex

Gasex from Himalaya comes in tablet form, available in boxes of 20 tablets (two blister packs of 10 tablets each). The tablets are biconvex, light brown in colour, easy to administer, and free from artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. 

Due to their plant-based nature, they are well tolerated by most patients, including those who prefer supplements without synthetic additives.

Gasex tablets are recommended as a natural adjuvant in functional digestive disorders, contributing to:

• reducing bloating, flatulence and abdominal fullness;
• maintaining the balance of intestinal flora and normal transit;
• relieving gastric discomfort after heavy meals rich in fat or protein;
• supporting physiological digestion and the secretion of digestive juices;
• stimulating nutrient absorption in the intestine;
• preparing the intestine for radiological or ultrasound investigations.

The product is also useful for people who experience slow digestion, abdominal pressure, postprandial nausea or a tendency to accumulate excessive intestinal gas.

The recommended dosage varies according to age and individual needs:

• Adults: 2 tablets twice a day, taken after meals. In cases of severe discomfort, the dose may be increased to 2 tablets 3 times a day.
• Children over 6 years of age: 1 tablet twice a day after meals, and if necessary, 1 tablet 3 times a day.

The duration of administration may vary depending on the severity of symptoms, but regular use, in the short or medium term, is considered safe.

Gasex is generally well tolerated, but is contraindicated in the following situations:

• people with known hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients;
• children under 6 years of age, due to insufficient safety data;
• pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.

Regular use of Gasex, in combination with a balanced diet and an active lifestyle, can help maintain a healthy digestive system. 

The product does not contain gluten, lactose, artificial colours or preservatives, making it suitable for people with mild food intolerances.

Gasex is a safe supplement and adverse reactions are rare. In isolated cases, mild temporary abdominal discomfort or changes in bowel habits may occur.

If symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Gasex has no significant interactions with other medicines, but for safety reasons, caution is advised when taking it together with other treatments for chronic diseases such as anticoagulants or antihypertensives.

Due to its Piper nigrum content, the product may slightly influence the intestinal absorption of certain active substances, increasing their bioavailability.

To date, no cases of overdose with Gasex have been reported. However, excessive doses may cause mild gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps). In such situations, it is recommended to discontinue use and adopt a light diet for a few days.

Gasex should be stored in a dry place, away from light and heat, at a temperature below 30°C, in its original packaging, to prevent degradation of the active substances. Keep out of the reach of small children. The expiry date is 3 years from the date of manufacture, which is indicated on the packaging.
