Lemon balm is used to relieve symptoms associated with mild anxiety and sleep disorders. It can also be used as an adjunct in the treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia or flatulence.

Mild anxiety is a common condition in everyday life and can be caused by various situations, such as stress at work, exams or important events. Lemon balm can help you relax and calm your mind, reducing feelings of restlessness and tension. It is therefore recommended as an adjunct treatment for mild anxiety.

In addition, sleep disorders such as insomnia and frequent night-time awakenings can negatively affect sleep quality and rest. Lemon balm has a relaxing effect on the central nervous system, promoting the onset and maintenance of peaceful and restful sleep. Therefore, it is used as an adjunct in the treatment of sleep disorders, helping to stabilise the circadian rhythm and improve sleep quality.

Valerian can also be used as an adjunct in the treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia and flatulence. These conditions are characterised by bloating, abdominal discomfort, belching or a burning sensation in the stomach. Lemon balm extract has antispasmodic and carminative effects, which means that it can help reduce gastrointestinal muscle spasms and eliminate intestinal gas, thus alleviating the unpleasant symptoms associated with gastrointestinal disorders.

Lemon balm is contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It is also not recommended for children under 12 years of age without a doctor's recommendation.

Each Roinița tablet contains 200 mg of lemon balm extract (Melissa officinalis). The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica.

The usual recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1-2 Roinița tablets three times a day. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It is recommended to take the medicine with food.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Roiniță. There is insufficient data on the safety of Roiniță during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so the use of this medicine should be decided after careful evaluation of the benefits and risks.

It is not recommended to drink alcohol while taking Roiniță. Alcohol enhances the sedative effects of the medicine and may lead to excessive drowsiness and impaired motor coordination.

Roinița may cause drowsiness and dizziness in some cases. If you experience these side effects, you should not drive or operate dangerous machinery. It is important to ensure that the medicine does not affect your ability to drive before starting these activities.

Some rare side effects may occur during treatment with Roinița. These may include minor gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, diarrhoea or abdominal discomfort.
