Description Sinergin
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Sinergin is a dietary supplement that belongs to the group of prebiotics used to restore the balance of intestinal microflora.
What is Sinergin used for?
Sinergin contains prebiotics, which are food for probiotics, also known as 'good bacteria', normally found in the digestive tract.
The active ingredients in the Sinergin supplement also help reduce intestinal and systemic inflammation, intervene in the process of lipogenesis in the liver and reduce faecal calprotectin levels.
What are probiotics?
Probiotics are bacterial cultures that are similar to the 'good bacteria' in our digestive tract. In intestinal dysbiosis or during antibiotic treatment, these bacteria are destroyed, and the digestive tract becomes populated by 'bad bacteria'.
Probiotics usually contain bacteria such as lactobacilli (e.g. Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactococcus lactis), bifidobacteria (e.g. Bifidobacterium breve or Bifidobacterium bifidum) and certain species of streptococcus (e.g. Streptococcus thermophilus).
What are prebiotics?
Prebiotics are food for probiotics. When combined (probiotic + prebiotic), they have a synergistic effect, helping to repopulate the intestinal mucosa with good bacteria that are beneficial to our body.
How is Sinergin administered?
The Sinergin dietary supplement is available in pharmacies in boxes of 15 sachets. It is recommended to take one to two sachets per day dissolved in a sufficient amount of liquid, cream cheese, fruit or vegetable puree, and soups. The contents of the sachet should be mixed until completely dissolved and taken orally at any time of the day.
Should Sinergin be taken before or after main meals?
Sinergin can be administered at any time of the day, regardless of the schedule of main meals.
How long can Sinergin be used?
Sinergin can be used for a period of three months. However, to know exactly how long you need to take it depending on your condition, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
What does Sinergin contain?
One sachet of Sinergin contains 10 g of inulin enriched with oligofructose. Oligofructose comes from a standardised chicory root extract.
What are the side effects of Sinergin?
Side effects vary in intensity and occurrence from person to person. Any medicine or dietary supplement may cause certain adverse reactions, especially at the start of treatment. The most common adverse reactions reported during the use of the Sinergin dietary supplement were certain digestive symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramps, abdominal bloating, feeling of fullness and abdominal discomfort. These symptoms usually disappeared within a few days of taking the first dose.
If the symptoms persist and interfere with your daily activities, it is advisable to stop taking the supplement and seek medical advice.
What are the contraindications for Sinergin?
Sinergin is contraindicated in people with known allergic reactions to inulin or any of the product's ingredients.
Can Sinergin be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
As a precautionary measure, it is recommended not to use Sinergin during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless strictly recommended by your doctor.
As the risks of taking it during these periods are not precisely known, it would be more prudent not to use it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Can Sinergin affect the ability to drive vehicles and/or operate machinery?
Sinergin does not interfere with the ability to drive vehicles and/or operate machinery.
Does Sinergin interact with other medicines?
To date, no interactions between Sinergin and other medicines have been reported. However, it is very important to tell your doctor about any supplements or medicines you are taking before using Sinergin.
