Vetoskin Twist Off is available as 300 mg capsules, packed in bottles of 90 capsules, specially designed for easy administration to pets.

Twist Off capsules are designed to allow two methods of administration:

• administering the whole capsule directly into the mouth;
• opening the capsule and administering the contents mixed into food.

Vetoskin capsules are recommended as a nutritional supplement in the management of various dermatological conditions in dogs and cats, particularly in cases characterised by:

• dry, flaky skin
• excessive hair loss
• seborrhoea
• skin inflammation
• dull or brittle coat
• dermatitis associated with nutritional deficiency

The product helps maintain skin hydration, regenerate epidermal tissue and support the skin’s barrier function. Furthermore, due to its essential fatty acid content, it can help reduce itching and skin inflammation, and is often used as an adjunctive therapy in allergic or inflammatory dermatitis.

Vetoskin for dogs and cats is administered orally, according to the animal’s body weight:

• Cats and dogs weighing under 15 kg: 1 capsule per day
• Dogs weighing over 15 kg: 2 capsules per day

The capsule may be administered whole or opened, with the contents mixed into the food. The duration of treatment and dose adjustment should be determined by the vet, depending on the severity of symptoms and the animal’s individual response.

Vetoskin for cats and dogs must not be administered to animals with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s components.

Furthermore, the supplement should be used with caution in animals undergoing complex drug treatments or suffering from severe metabolic disorders, in which cases consultation with a vet is essential.

The VetExpert Vetoskin formula contains active ingredients that play an important role in skin health.

Fish oil, a source of Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), has anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce skin inflammation and improve the elasticity of cell membranes.

Cold-pressed borage oil (Borago officinalis) is a rich source of Omega-6 fatty acids, particularly gamma-linolenic acid, which contributes to the formation of epidermal ceramides. 

Thanks to the twist-off capsules, the product is easy to administer and very palatable, and can be given directly to the animal or mixed with food.

In general, Vetoskin is well tolerated by most dogs and cats when administered as recommended.

In rare cases, mild digestive disturbances such as diarrhoea or gastrointestinal discomfort may occur, particularly in animals sensitive to supplements rich in fatty acids. If persistent adverse reactions occur, administration should be discontinued and consultation with a vet is recommended.

No significant interactions have been reported between Vetoskin and other medicines used in veterinary medicine.

Due to its high content of Omega-3 fatty acids, the supplement may help enhance the anti-inflammatory effects of certain treatments, sometimes allowing for a reduction in the doses of corticosteroids or other anti-inflammatories used in veterinary dermatology.

There is no evidence to suggest severe toxic effects when doses slightly higher than those recommended are administered.

However, excessive administration may cause temporary digestive disturbances, such as diarrhoea or loss of appetite. If an overdose is suspected, the animal should be monitored and a veterinary surgeon consulted.

Vetoskin should be stored in its original packaging, in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and sources of heat.

The recommended storage temperature is generally below 25°C, and the product must be kept out of the reach of children and animals.
