OB

o.b. Be the best version of yourself. Act with o.b.

o.b. is a German brand of sanitary tampons for teenagers and adult women. The company's history began in 1947 in Wuppertal, Germany. In 1969, thanks to provocative advertising, the brand was able to become a monopolist on the German market, displacing Tampax.

In 1974, o.b. was acquired by Johnson & Johnson, which still owns the rights to the brand. In the same year, o.b. entered the US market. However, they did not achieve the same success as in Germany, even despite the reuse of provocative advertising. Throughout its time on the American market, the brand's share did not exceed 8-10%, so in 2013, Johnson & Johnson sold the rights to sell products in this region to Energizer Holdings Inc. In the 1990s, the brand appeared on the post-Soviet market and immediately became the leader.

Currently, the company's products are represented in two main lines:

  • for adult women:
    • o.b. Procomfort – maximum protection and comfort;
    • o.b. Extra Defence – with special wings that provide protection both during active pursuits and during night-time sleep;
    • o.b. Original – with special tampon string protection technology.
  • For teenagers, the same series as for adults are suitable, as well as the special o.b. Compact Applicator line – mini tampons with an applicator for easy insertion.

All tampons are available in several options, depending on the intensity of discharge: from mini (two drops) to super-plus (six drops). Ease of insertion, anatomically correct shape, low prices and availability in all pharmacies help the brand remain a market leader in sanitary tampons.
