ACTION AND MECHANISM

Combination of competitive antagonist antihistamine of histamine H1 receptors (antazoline) with vasoconstrictor with alpha-adrenergic activity (naphazoline).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

- Hypersensitivity to any of the components.- [CLOSED ANGLE GLAUCOMA].- Children.

INDICATIONS

- Symptomatic relief of [ALLERGIC CONJUNCTIVITIS].

INTERACTIONS

Co-administration with MAO inhibitors may lead to the onset of a hypertensive crisis.

GUIDELINES FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION

Instill the drops into the conjunctival sac.

POSOLOGY

Adults: Topical ophthalmic: 1-2 drops/6-8 hours, in the affected eye.

PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO EXCIPIENTS

- Because it contains benzalkonium chloride, it may cause eye irritation.

- It may cause discoloration and alterations to soft contact lenses, so contact with them should be avoided. Contact lenses must be removed before application and at least 15 minutes should elapse before reinserting them.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Occasionally, blurred vision, pupil dilation, increased intraocular pressure. In prolonged treatments and/or high doses: eye irritation and signs of systemic absorption (vertigo, headaches, dry mouth, etc.).

ANTAZOLINE (OPHTHALMIC): 5 MILLIGRAMS - PHOSPHATE
Naphazoline (ophthalmic): 0.25 milligrams - hydrochloride
BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE (EXCIPIENT): 0.1 MILLIGRAMS
