Biatain Silicone Foam Heel Bandage 18x 5 pcs
Description
Biatain Silicone Heel
Biatain Silicone with 3DFit technology conforms to the wound bed and reduces exudate accumulation to create optimal healing conditions. Biatain Silicone can be used on a wide range of exuding wounds and is therefore the ideal solution for an optimal wound healing environment.
Curves towards the wound bed:
The curvature ensures direct contact with the wound bed.
Absorbs vertically:
A 77% higher total absorption capacity allows for longer wearing time.
Stores wound exudate:
It safely retains 99.98% of bacteria within the dressing.
Product composition:
Biatain Silicone is a soft, adaptable polyurethane foam dressing with a semi-permeable, bacteria- and water-repellent top film, a superabsorbent reservoir and a gentle silicone adhesion.
Application:
Biatain Silicone can be used for a wide range of exuding chronic and acute wounds, such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-infectious diabetic foot syndrome, split-thickness skin graft donor sites, postoperative and traumatic wounds (e.g., abrasions). The dressing can be used in combination with compression therapy and can remain on the wound for up to 7 days.
Key advantages:
- The curvature towards the wound bed establishes direct contact, prevents exudate accumulation and reduces the risk of infection.
- Microcapillaries absorb exudate vertically and support a 77% higher overall absorption capacity, resulting in a longer wearing time.
- Exudate and bacteria are absorbed, and 99.98% of germs are securely bound within the foam dressing, even under pressure. This reduces exudate accumulation and thus minimizes the risk of maceration and infection.
