Cutimed Hydrogel Amorph 10X15 g
Description
Cutimed Gel
With applicator
Necrotic tissue or fibrin deposits are common barriers in the healing process of chronic wounds. In addition to mechanical or surgical debridement, wound debris can also be removed autolytically, i.e., by supporting the self-cleaning process. The advantage lies in the tissue-sparing nature of this method. Cutimed Gel is a transparent, amorphous hydrogel for the treatment of necrotic and fibrinous debris on chronic wounds. The gel continuously releases moisture into the wound, resulting in effective yet tissue-sparing debridement. Its high stability and viscosity ensure good application and secure retention within the wound. Cutimed Gel can be rinsed from the wound bed with physiological saline or Ringer's solution. Cutimed Gel consists of carbomer 940, purified water, glycerin, sodium hydroxide, and sodium EDTA. Latex-free formulation.
Areas of application:
Cutimed Gel is suitable for wound cleansing in necrotic or sloughed-off wounds. Furthermore, Cutimed Gel can also be used in later stages of wound healing to create a moist, physiological wound environment. Examples:
- Pressure ulcers
- Leg ulcer
- diabetic foot syndrome
Cutimed Gel can be applied in three ways: with the enclosed applicator, a spatula or directly from the tube - depending on the type and location of the wound.
