Cyclo 3 Fort is a medicinal product that affects the elasticity of veins, with a protective effect on blood vessels, for use in venous insufficiency (heavy legs feeling) and as an aid in hemorrhoids.

Composition

The active substances are: dry extract of butcher's broom ( Ruscus aculeatus L., rhizoma ), hesperidin, ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Each hard capsule contains: 150 mg of dry extract of Ruscus aculeatus L., Rhizoma (butcher's broom rhizome) (5 – 7.5 : 1) Extractant: ethanol 85% (V/V) Hesperidin methyl chalcone 150 mg Ascorbic acid 100 mg.

Excipients: talc, magnesium stearate, hydrophobic colloidal silica, macrogol 6000. Capsule shell composition: Body (yellow) - quinoline yellow (E 104), sunset yellow FCF (E 110), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin. Cap (orange) - sunset yellow FCF (E 110), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.

A drug for oral use.

The capsules should be taken with a glass of water.

The medicine is intended for adults.

Symptomatic treatment of venous insufficiency: 2-3 capsules daily according to the regimen: 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening or 2 capsules in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening.

Adjunctive treatment for hemorrhoids: 4-5 capsules daily in the regimen of 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening or 3 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening.

Action

Cyclo 3 Fort contains three active ingredients that improve the elasticity of veins. This medication has a toning and protective effect on blood vessels (improving venous wall tone, capillary resistance, and reducing vascular permeability).

Indications

Indications for use of Cyclo 3 Fort: symptomatic treatment of venous insufficiency (heaviness in the lower limbs, pain); supportive treatment of hemorrhoids.

Contraindications

Do not use Cyclo 3 Fort if you: are hypersensitive to the active substances - butcher's broom extract, hesperidin methylchalcone, ascorbic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; have iron metabolism disorders (the medicine contains ascorbic acid).

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common (affects less than 1 in 10 people): diarrhea, sometimes severe, quickly disappearing after stopping treatment; abdominal pain.

Uncommon (affects less than 1 in 100 people): insomnia (difficulty sleeping); dyspepsia (disorders of the digestive tract); nausea; erythema (redness of the skin); itching; muscle cramps; pain in the limbs (arms and/or legs).

Rare (affects less than 1 in 1,000 people): nervousness; dizziness; feeling of cold in the extremities; venous pain (sensitivity of the veins); gastrointestinal disorders; aphthous stomatitis (inflammation of the gums with blisters); increased alanine aminotransferase (a liver enzyme).

Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): stomach pain; maculopapular rash (skin redness) and urticaria (itchy, swollen redness that may develop into spots); reversible microscopic, mainly lymphocytic colitis in some cases (or in some patients); ascorbic acid affects the results of some laboratory tests.

Warnings and precautions

If skin inflammation or skin ulcers occur during use, consult a doctor.

If you experience swelling of 1 or both lower limbs, heart/kidney failure, contact your doctor.

If diarrhea occurs, discontinue treatment and contact your doctor.

When using the drug for venous circulation disorders - if discomfort or fragility of the vessels appears after 2 weeks, contact your doctor.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Store below 25ºC.

Use of other medications

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or might take, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

The medicine should not be taken while breastfeeding.

Impact on laboratory tests

Vitamin C, i.e. ascorbic acid contained in the drug, may affect some laboratory test results such as: determination of glucose, bilirubin, transaminase activity, lactate, etc.

Use of the drug in children and adolescents
