• Mannose is a monosaccharide found in fruits and is also produced by the human body in small quantities. It is almost immediately absorbed into the circulation and then passes through the urinary system and is excreted. It protects the urinary tract from infections and chronic inflammation (urinary tract infection, cystitis) caused by coliform bacteria, such as E. Coli. E.
