Ingredients:
The leaves of the species Plantago lanceolata L., P. media L., P. major L., fam. Plantaginaceae, containing mucilage, tannins, pectins, iridoids, allantoin, vitamin K.
Effects:
Emollient and expectorant, cicatrizing, hemostatic, hypocholesterolemic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic.
Main uses:
Bronchitis, cough, asthma.
Other uses:
Gastritis, ulcer, colitis, hypercholesterolemia, boils, abscesses, hemorrhoids, wounds.
Contraindications:
Not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to this plant.
Method of preparation:
Pour 200 ml of boiling water over a teaspoon of the herb and leave covered for 10 minutes, then strain.
Administration method:
Drink 3 cups of tea a day.
