Characteristics:
UrgoSuperabsorber is a sterile, superabsorbent wound dressing for use on exuding wounds. UrgoSuperabsorber has a superabsorbent core that absorbs and retains exudate. The exudate is absorbed vertically through the dressing and stored in the core, forming a gel. This minimizes the risk of maceration at the wound edges and maintains a moist wound environment. Both sides of the dressing can be applied to the wound.

This product is a medical device. Please read the instructions in the package leaflet carefully and familiarize yourself thoroughly with its functions and use before use.

Indications:

• UrgoSuperabsorber is a sterile, superabsorbent wound dressing for use on exuding wounds.

Contraindications:

• UrgoSuperabsorber should not be used on eyes, mucous membranes, tendons, dry wounds or in wound cavities, as the dressing will swell during absorption.
• UrgoSuperabsorber should not be used in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to the dressing or its components.

Instructions for use:

• UrgoSuperabsorber should be used on exuding wounds.
• UrgoSuperabsorber can be used as a primary or secondary dressing.
• Clean the wound according to local protocol. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
• Select the size of the wound dressing according to the size of the wound. The edges of the absorbent core should overlap the wound, as the sealing edges do not absorb exudate.
• UrgoSuperabsorber must have direct contact with the wound bed or the primary dressing.
• Secure UrgoSuperabsorber.
• UrgoSuperabsorber can be used in combination with compression therapy.
• UrgoSuperabsorber should be changed depending on the clinical condition of the wound or before the dressing is fully saturated.
• If the condition of the wound worsens, contact your medical professional.
• Removing the wound dressing can be made easier by moistening the dressing.
• Dispose of the wound dressings as medical waste in accordance with local regulations.

Precautions:

• Do not cut the wound dressing; the covering must remain intact.
• Do not use the wound dressing if the sterile packaging is damaged.
• Disposable product, do not resterilize, cannot be reused.
