Vitamin B12 Bios capsules contain 3.0 µg of vitamin B12 in a hard gelatin capsule. Vitamin B12 is involved in various metabolic processes. It is essential for the normal maturation of erythrocytes (red blood cells). The deficiency, known as pernicious anemia, is not caused by a lack of vitamin B12 in the diet, but rather by a deficiency of a specific factor in gastric juice. This factor binds to vitamin B12 and transports it into the intestinal cells. Even a slight deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to symptoms such as general weakness, fatigue, and lethargy.
