Royal Jelly

The main components are water, proteins, sugars, lipids and mineral salts. It contains polyphenols, which have an antioxidant effect and help eliminate free radicals.

It is a source of B vitamins, which are responsible for the proper functioning of the body (B1, B2, B3, B6), especially vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), known as the ‘anti-stress vitamin’. It contains the entire range of essential amino acids (especially proline and lysine) that the body cannot synthesise, although they are necessary in a balanced daily diet.

For internal use: it is revitalising, immunomodulatory, contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system, has an antioxidant effect and delays the ageing process, is a tonic during periods of physical and mental fatigue, memory disorders, menstrual disorders or menopause, helps protect the liver, maintains normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and remineralises nails and hair.

For external use: it is used in the preparation of face creams and masks, stimulates the production of natural collagen, regenerates epithelial tissue, reduces existing wrinkles and prevents the appearance of new ones, slows down the ageing process, maintains skin elasticity and firmness, moisturises the skin and reduces acne.

Recommended for children: 1 level teaspoon (0.5g)/day, and for adults: 2 level teaspoons (1g)/day. It is recommended to administer sublingually until completely dissolved, in the morning, 30 minutes before meals.

In mixture: homogenised in honey (2%): for children 2 teaspoons/day (10g), for adults: 2 tablespoons/day (20g).

Taking Royal Jelly pure at the same time as honey enhances its action, thanks to the beneficial properties of honey.

There is also freeze-dried Royal Jelly: the recommended daily dose for adults is 0.2 g and for children under 10 years of age is 0.1 g. Open one vial of Royal Jelly and one vial of solvent at the same time. Using a pipette, add the solvent to the ampoule containing Royal Jelly and shake until the Royal Jelly is dissolved. Administer sublingually before breakfast. After a 2 g treatment, a 7-10 day break is necessary. For annual treatment, 10-12 grams of Royal Jelly is recommended for adults and 5-6 grams for children under 10 years of age.

Two courses per year (spring and autumn) of 6 weeks each are recommended.

Pure Royal Jelly should be administered to children from the age of two (in some cases, it can also be administered after the age of one).

It is very effective in restoring wrinkled and ageing skin.

Apply pure Royal Jelly in a very thin layer on clean skin and leave to act for 15 minutes. Then clean the skin with lukewarm water. After several applications, at intervals of 1-2 days, other pleasant results appear: the disappearance of wrinkles, spots, abnormal pigmentation, etc.

Pure Royal Jelly can also be added to cosmetic lotions, face masks, hair or hand masks.

Pure Royal Jelly should be stored in the refrigerator at temperatures between 2ºC and 6ºC.

It is recommended to use plastic or wooden containers and spoons, as contact with metal can alter its properties.

Most specialists do not recommend consuming pure Royal Jelly even for breastfeeding mothers, although there are no studies that contraindicate its administration to this category of people.

For pregnant women, pure Royal Jelly is highly recommended to protect them from colds and infections, which can cause problems for the foetus.

Some environmental contaminants, such as pesticides, have been found in Royal Jelly and may cause allergic reactions. People who already have proven allergies to bee products or bee stings should avoid Royal Jelly supplements.

Adverse reactions have been reported occasionally: hives, severe itching, wheezing or other breathing problems, digestive problems such as abdominal pain or diarrhoea, dizziness or confusion, nausea and vomiting, as well as serious reactions such as asthma, anaphylaxis and contact dermatitis. Some of these extreme reactions could even be fatal.
