Yeast protein is characterized by high bioavailability . It has the highest score of 1 on the PDCAAS (Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score) protein quality assessment method. A score of 1 is equivalent to animal-based proteins such as casein or egg white. This means that yeast protein is highly digestible and provides 100% of the essential amino acids required per unit of protein after digestion. Furthermore, the nutritional value and digestibility of yeast protein are equivalent to those of milk protein and significantly higher than those of plant proteins.
Yeast protein contains as much as 70% high-quality protein with a complex of essential amino acids, including a high content of BCAAs. Yeast is a rich source of B vitamins, including biotin and folic acid. It also contains minerals such as selenium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and chromium.

Recommended consumption and preparation:
