Autan® Multi Insect Pump Spray is a multi-insect repellent spray. With an active ingredient content of 16% Icaridin, it provides strong protection against both mosquitoes (8 hours) and tiger mosquitoes (6 hours) when applied to the face and body. The spray is also suitable as a tick repellent. Ticks and biting flies are effectively kept away for up to 4 hours. The product has been dermatologically tested by the Skin Health Alliance® and can be used on children from 2 years of age. The active ingredient Icaridin is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for protecting the skin from bites by mosquitoes, biting flies, and ticks. Even at a low concentration, Icaridin offers similar effectiveness to DEET and is also well-tolerated by materials and skin. Furthermore, Icaridin is characterized by its neutral odor. Mosquitoes are attracted to body odors such as sweat or carbon dioxide (breath). Spraying mosquito repellent onto the skin blocks the scent receptors of insects, preventing them from detecting human scent and thus deterring them from landing and biting. For effective protection, the product should be rubbed thoroughly into the skin. It can also be used in combination with sunscreen and other skincare products. However, it is important that the insect repellent is applied last.
