Prontoderm Wipes properties :

• Prontoderm Wipes are ready-to-use wipes impregnated with polyhexanidine , intended for antibacterial hygiene (MDRO decolonization) of the whole body - good local skin and tissue tolerance (dermatologically tested).
• Wipes impregnated with Prontoderm Solution.
• They do not dry out the skin, do not irritate, and are non-toxic.
• Bactericidal effectiveness against multidrug-resistant strains, including: MRSA, ESBL and VRE.
• Antimicrobial barrier effect - prevents re-colonization; prolonged action up to 24 hours.
• They reduce unpleasant odors.
• No need to rinse (leave-on formula) - possibility of body hygiene for a lying patient (no need to wash off).
• Can be heated in a microwave oven (550 W / 1 min.).
• Saving time and reducing costs: no need for washing up or using washcloths, can be used when water is unavailable.

Purpose of Prontoderm Wipes :

• Antibacterial hygiene for patients / medical staff with cutaneous carriage of multidrug-resistant strains (MDRO), for removing MDRO from skin, mucous membranes and hair, and for patients / medical staff after contact with a carrier or infected with MDRO.
• To prepare the patient for surgery (prerehabilitation).
• For the prevention of infections after surgical procedures (surgical site infections) and prophylaxis in patients with established vascular accesses (central, peripheral, PEG).
• For the hygiene/care of patients with chronic (non-healing) wounds.
• For the care of contact surfaces when skin continuity is interrupted by biomaterials, medical equipment (e.g. drains, stabilizing systems in orthopedics and neurosurgery, stomas, etc.).
• For the hygiene of patients with a urinary catheter and before the catheterization procedure.
• Helpful in the treatment of inflammation and skin diseases.

How to use Prontoderm Wipes:

Full-body hygiene (for a bedridden patient): Start with the head and face. Then, wipe the upper and lower body, as well as specific areas, using separate wipes for each area (see detailed patient washing instructions). Discard the wipes when finished.
