Description
Cornesin hypertonic eye ointment is a sterile medical device with 4.5% sodium chloride and 0.4% sodium hyaluronate. It helps to relieve the symptoms of corneal edema, i.e. pain and visual disturbances.
How does Cornesin OTC Eye Ointment work?
- Cornesin eye ointment relieves pain and visual disturbances caused by swelling of the cornea.
- It increases the concentration of sodium chloride in the tear film, which results in the movement of water from the deeper layers of the cornea to the surface.
- Ointment has a higher osmolarity than tear fluid, which allows reabsorption of edema fluid.
Due to its viscosity, Cornesin ointment remains on the surface of the eye for a long time, allowing the sodium hyaluronate contained in the composition to create a moisturizing and protective layer on the surface of the eyes, which also works at night.
