Doppelherz Calorie Blocker 2 in 1 is a medical device that, with the help of two protected branded active ingredients, OMTEC 50 (from natural fibers) and OMTEC XS (from white beans), can support the reduction of calorie intake from food.
Together, these substances form a gel-like mass in the stomach that mixes with the ingested food. During this process, fats and carbohydrates are extracted from the food and bound in an insoluble form. As a result, these bound fats, carbohydrates, and sugars do not enter the metabolic cycle but are excreted undigested.
OMTEC 50 has a high binding capacity for fats and can therefore help reduce calorie intake from high-fat foods. OMTEC XS can also inhibit the starch-digesting enzyme alpha-amylase produced in the pancreas, thereby interrupting the carbohydrate digestion process.
