Description
LAVANOX-Serag Wound Gel
Moistening and cleansing of acute and chronic wounds with sodium hypochlorite/hypochlorous acid.
This product is a medical device. Please read the instructions in the package leaflet carefully and familiarize yourself thoroughly with its functions and use before use.
Product description:
LAVANOX-Serag wound gel and LAVANOX-Serag wound spray gel are based on an electrochemically activated mineral salt solution with <0.06% sodium hypochlorite/hypochlorous acid (NaOCl/HOCl) as a preservative and lithium magnesium sodium silicate as a gelling agent.
LAVANOX-Serag hydrogels keep the wound moist for a long time; the application is non-irritating, non-irritating and painless.
Areas of application:
LAVANOX-Serag wound gel and wound spray gel are used for moisturizing, cleansing, and mechanically decontaminating acute and chronic wounds. They support autolytic wound cleansing and aid in infection prevention. LAVANOX-Serag hydrogels are highly effective for moisturizing wounds and, through their effective cleansing action, promote physiological healing conditions.
LAVANOX-Serag wound spray gel is ideally suited for quickly covering large wounds thanks to its spray nozzle. It is easy and quick to apply and remains in the wound as a hydrogel.
Application:
Before first use and with each dressing change, the wound should first be cleaned with LAVANOX-Serag wound irrigation solution or LAVANOX-Serag wound spray. LAVANOX-Serag wound gels can be applied to the affected areas several times a day and used in combination with compresses, plasters, and other dressings. There are no restrictions on the duration or frequency of use.
Shake the LAVANOX-Serag wound spray gel bottle well before use, then spray the gel onto the affected area with several short bursts from a short distance. The solution immediately solidifies into a well-adhering hydrogel.
LAVANOX-Serag wound gel in the tube can be applied evenly to the wound area using, for example, a sterile spatula. Due to its exceptional viscosity, LAVANOX-Serag wound gel adheres well and keeps the wound area moist for an extended period.
Durability:
The shelf life after production is 3 years, after first opening 12 weeks.
Application limitations:
LAVANOX-Serag Wound Gel should not be used if you have a known allergy to any of its ingredients. For external use on skin wounds. Do not use LAVANOX-Serag Wound Gel on bleeding or heavily weeping wounds. Do not use simultaneously with other wound-cleansing sprays, solutions, gels, or pre-moistened compresses.
