Ligasano white unsterile

The therapeutic benefit is essentially based on three physical principles:

• Ligasano white's rapidly decreasing pressure ensures an anatomical adaptation to body contours. The nearly uniform distribution of pressure prevents dreaded pressure peaks. Ligasano white is easy to cut to size, allowing for the creation of customized positioning aids such as rollers, wedges, heel pads, etc.
• The mechanical stimulation of Ligasano white promotes peripheral blood circulation upon skin contact, increasing the patient's pressure resistance. Sweat is absorbed, thus normalizing skin moisture and, in combination with the mechanical stimulation, also providing skin care.
• The controlled absorbency effectively counteracts skin maceration. Maintaining the skin's natural balance is supported.

In bedridden patients and when joints are immobilized, contractures (joint stiffness) and muscle atrophy (muscle wasting) can develop. Patients with inflammatory or degenerative joint diseases are particularly at risk, but so are patients whose joints are immobilized, for example, due to protective postures, paralysis, or weakness. Measures to maintain an intact musculoskeletal system and functional joints include exercises, mobilization, and appropriate positioning. Caution: Intertrigo, especially in the buttocks, is often mistaken for a pressure ulcer!

What you must always keep in mind with all applications:
The application must always be carried out by a doctor or by medically/nursingly trained personnel.

What dosage forms are available?
Ligasano white is available in various forms (e.g., sheets, operating table covers, compresses, wound dressings), in sterile or non-sterile versions depending on the application. If sterilization is performed on-site, please be aware of the potential risks, such as severe contamination. Please refer to the current product list for available formulations.

How to store it:
Ligasano white is highly flammable and sensitive to UV radiation. Therefore, protect it from open flames, embers, heat, UV radiation, and moisture/dampness. The original packaging provides limited protection against moisture and UV rays due to the UV filter film we use. Storage is only permitted in the original packaging. Ligasano white may develop a yellowish tint. This does not affect its quality.

Ligamed medical Produkte GmbH maintains a certified quality management system for medical devices. Furthermore, the company demonstrates environmental awareness through validation according to EC Regulation (EMAS) and participation in the Bavarian Environmental Pact. We will gladly send you our current certificates upon request. All Ligasano products are single-material products, consist of over 97% air, and can be disposed of as household waste. Packaging disposal is regulated differently internationally; in Germany, it is handled by Reclay VfW GmbH.
