Eye Plus

Description
Hypotonic solution intended for instillation onto the ocular surface or contact lenses, especially in the presence of dry eye symptoms.
Thanks to the high content of sodium hyaluronate (0.4%) and the presence of salts such as magnesium and potassium, Oftaial Plus hydrates and lubricates the ocular surface and reduces the risk of tear film instability. In addition, the unique composition of Oftaial Plus consists of taurine, the most physiologically abundant amino acid in the tear fluid and, in general, in all tissues of the anterior segment of the eye.
Therefore, Oftaial Plus, although it has no pharmacological effect, protects the corneal epithelium from possible damage caused by certain conditions that can lead to the appearance of the so-called "dry eye", such as:
- adverse climatic and environmental conditions, such as wind, cold, sun, salt, air conditioning, smoke, smog or fine dust
- particular ophthalmic stress conditions due to the use of contact lenses or prolonged work on video terminals or microscopes.
The lubricating action is also useful when, under certain physical conditions or following the administration of certain medications, tearing is reduced, such as during menopause and during diabetes treatment.
In addition, for contact lens wearers, Oftaial Plus allows the lubrication and hydration of the lens itself to facilitate its application or removal, contributing to a feeling of comfort throughout the day.

How to use
The dosage of Oftaial Plus should be administered individually, depending on your condition and based on the recommendations of your ophthalmologist.
Generally, 1-2 drops of solution are instilled into the conjunctival sac of each eye, as needed, even several times a day.
For use on contact lenses: instill one drop on each lens when inserting or removing. Repeat if necessary, even several times a day.

How to apply Oftaial Plus:
- detach a single vial from the strip
- to open the bottle, remove the top flap by twisting it, taking care to place it on a clean surface so that it can be reused the next time the bottle is closed
- instill 1-2 drops of Oftaial Plus into the conjunctival sac of each eye, letting them fall from top to bottom
- close the bottle by inserting the flap immediately after use.

Composition
100 ml of solution contain: sodium hyaluronate 0.4 g, taurine 0.5 g, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, monosodium phosphate, disodium phosphate, water for injections.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to components or other closely related chemicals.
Oftaial Plus is intended for external use only.
Oftaial Plus should not be used immediately before administering medications for therapeutic purposes and within ten minutes of applying any topical pharmacological treatment.
To reduce the risk of contamination during use, it is recommended to open the aluminum pouch only if the product is to be used immediately afterwards.
Each bottle is intended for use by one person only.
Avoid allowing the tip of the bottle to come into direct contact with your fingers, eyes, contact lenses, or any other surface.
Also, avoid letting the tip of the bottle come into contact with dirt or dust.
In rare cases, a slight blurring of vision has been observed upon instillation, due to the density of the solution. However, this sensation disappears very quickly.
In rare cases, intolerance (a burning sensation and/or irritation) may occur, but this is harmless and does not require a change in treatment. However, it is recommended to contact an ophthalmologist if symptoms persist.
Following the instructions in the leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
Do not use the solution after the expiration date printed on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.

Conservation
Oftaial Plus should be stored at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C.
Each container is resealable, thus allowing repeated administration of the solution which, however, does not contain preservatives and must be used within 24 hours of first opening.
The expiration date refers to the product being intact and stored correctly.
Best before date of manufacture, in intact packaging: 24 months.
