Paraffin is a compound derived from hydrocarbons, and its primary function is skin hydration. However, it offers other benefits as well. The product is used therapeutically to help relieve muscle aches and pains such as contractures, sprains, bruises, tendon injuries, and a range of other conditions that cause discomfort and pain.

Paraffin is frequently used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, especially to relieve pain. It is also used to improve blood circulation. The heat it generates has a vasodilatory effect, increasing blood flow throughout the body. It comes in tablet form. This package contains two 400-gram tablets.

It is indicated for people who require therapy to soothe muscle pain, contractures, sprains, and other injuries. It is also indicated for those suffering from conditions that cause muscle and joint discomfort.

It is recommended to place one of the tablets in a paraffin heater at approximately 55 degrees Celsius. Clean and disinfect the area to be treated. Then, immerse the affected limb in the paraffin, ensuring it is completely covered. Once fully coated, remove it from the container and wait for the paraffin to dry and solidify. Place a cloth or plastic wrap over the area and wait 15 to 20 minutes until sufficient heat is achieved. Afterward, remove the paraffin. Alternatively, the paraffin can be applied directly to the affected area and allowed to solidify before covering it with plastic wrap or a towel to allow heat to build up. It is advisable not to move the limb while the paraffin is in place to prevent the coating from cracking prematurely.
