Santal Amyris essential oil (M - 1155), 10 ml, Mayam

It emits a balsamic, woody, subtle musk fragrance, used as a perfume essence with base notes and as a perfume fixer. In aromatherapy, it is used as a lymphatic and venous decongestant, for its cardiotonic, balancing, positive effect, favoring contemplation and relaxation.
The wood of the Haitian sandalwood tree is so rich in oils that it is used as a candle by the inhabitants of Haiti, as it burns for a long time. The essential oil distilled from the wood of the tree gives off a balsamic, woody fragrance with notes of musk, and is used in perfumery, aromatherapy and cosmetic applications.
Note: not to be confused with the essential oil of sandalwood (santalum album) which has a similar smell but more intense and pregnant, and which is much more expensive.

Method of obtaining:
By steam distillation from the woody parts.

Characteristics:
Clear liquid of medium viscosity, yellow-brown color.

Way of ussage:
- it is a product that is not used as such on the skin, only as an ingredient in cosmetic preparations and compositions for aromatherapy;
- diluted in vegetable oil, applied by aromatherapeutic massage on the back or the solar plexus, in a dosage of up to 10%;
- as an ingredient in creams and balms for venous and circulatory problems, varicose veins;
- indicative dosage for inclusion in skin care cosmetic compositions 0.5 - 3%;
- as a perfume essence with oriental notes but also as a cosmetic active for care and hygiene products, including for men;
- as an ingredient for hair care preparations;
- in vaporizers, scented candles or aromatherapy candles, associated with other essences, for a relaxing atmosphere, suitable for silence or meditation;
- together with other essences with top, middle and base notes, to create liquid or solid perfumes, as a base note and fixative.
