Properties:

Ingredients:
aerial part of the plant Polygonum aviculare L., fam. Polygonaceae, containing flavonoids, silicic acid, tannins, coumarins, resins, sugars, mucilages, vitamin C, mineral salts.

Effect:
diuretic, slightly hypotensive, astringent, antidiarrheal, cicatrizing, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, remineralizing.

Main uses:
edema, diseases of the urinary system, kidney stones, cough, bronchitis, rheumatism, gout.

Other uses:
adjuvant in pulmonary tuberculosis, gastro-duodenal ulcer, diarrhea, metrorrhagia.

Contraindications:
at the recommended doses are not known.

Preparation:
make an infusion of 1 teaspoon of chopped plant to a cup of water.

Use:
drink 3-4 cups of tea a day.
