Trachisept

Trachisept contains a complex of natural and bee-derived ingredients that relieve and soothe sore throats. The Trahispet range contains honey, propolis extract, lemon essence, chamomile extract, vitamin C, lemon oil and sugar or glucose syrup.

Trachisept treats the symptoms of respiratory infections accompanied by a sore throat (pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis). Trachisept products relieve hoarseness, burning sensation, irritation and pain in the mouth and throat. The ingredients in Trachisept have antibacterial, expectorant and soothing effects on the throat and pharynx.

Trachisept soothes, protects and moisturises the throat, larynx and vocal cords. Trachisept has antiseptic and healing properties, reducing local irritation and promoting rapid healing of the throat mucosa.

Trachisept lozenges are administered one tablet every 2-3 hours, depending on the intensity of the symptoms. It is recommended to let the tablet dissolve slowly in the mouth.

Trachisept is a product recommended mainly for adults, but it can also be administered to children over 6 years of age. Trachisept lozenges can be administered to children over 3 years of age, only on the recommendation of a paediatrician. It is recommended to follow the doses indicated in the package leaflet and to consult a doctor if symptoms persist after 7 days of treatment.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any food supplement or medicine. Trachisept should not be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless your doctor has carefully assessed the risk-benefit ratio.

Trachisept should be administered with caution to people with diabetes, as it contains sugar. Trachisept should not be used by patients with intolerance or allergy to propolis, lemon essential oil or any of the product's components. Trachisept is contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Like all medicines, Trachisept can cause side effects such as abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea or headaches. Trachisept can cause allergic reactions such as hives, localised reddening of the skin or rashes all over the body. If you experience any side effects, stop taking Trachisept and consult your doctor.

The right choice depends on personal preference. Trachisan is a medicine containing substances with bactericidal and local anaesthetic properties: tyrothricin, lidocaine hydrochloride, chlorhexidine digluconate. Trachisan and Trachisept are both medicines indicated for the prevention and treatment of infections and inflammations located in the oral cavity, tonsils, pharynx or larynx.
