Based on their experience and their savoir-faire in the field of solar nutricosmetics, Arkopharma Laboratories have developed an innovative formula since the diversity of carotenoids present in the formula allows for a more optimal preparation than the use of Beta-carotene alone. Phytoperine® also optimizes the bioavailability of beta-carotene .

- Lycopene belongs to the carotenoid family and is a pigment naturally present in tomatoes and watermelons. It is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and free radicals. Only in the late 19th century did a researcher named Harsten separate lycopene from tomatoes, and only in the mid-20th century were the properties of lycopene identified and became widely known in the late 1990s1.
- Lutein and zeaxanthin belong to the family of carotenoids, lipophilic plant pigments responsible for the yellow and red colors of nature, such as fruits, vegetables, flowers and autumn leaves. For example, the bright yellow color of corn is due in part to lutein2.
- Beta-carotene is the best-known compound of the carotenoid group. As a pigment, it makes flowers more attractive to insects and is especially known for its presence in some fruits and vegetables such as carrots, mangoes, apricots3...
- Piperine (phytoperine) increases the bioavailability of beta-carotene. Black pepper (Piperaceae family) is one of the most used spices in the world, known for its pungent compound, piperine. Piperine is the main active ingredient of pepper4.

Vegetable oils : in addition to carotenoids of vegetal origin, Phytobronz® contains vegetable oils that help preserve the elasticity and softness of the skin, for sublimated skin:

- Borage oil (Borago officinalis L.): borage is a Mediterranean plant, when it was discovered in the Middle Ages its use was not cosmetic at the time5. Today it is used for its various properties related to the skin, in particular to restore its softness and elasticity.
- Argan oil (Argania spinosa (L.)): the seeds of the argan tree, which grows in southern Morocco, are used to produce argan oil. The name Argan comes from a small village in Morocco called "Argana". This oil is traditionally used for skin care in the nutricosmetic field, it has nourishing properties and makes the skin elastic.
- Sesame oil (Sesamum indicum L.): sesame is part of the oilseed family and comes from Asia. Particularly widespread in the Middle East, sesame is widely used in cooking, but also in the form of oil in nutricosmetics, because it has interesting properties such as skin softness.

Vitamins and minerals :

Selenium (Se): Selenium acts as an antioxidant.
Copper (Cu): contributes to skin pigmentation.
Vitamin A: helps maintain healthy skin
Vitamin E: helps protect the skin from oxidative stress induced by UV rays. It is recognized as an essential nutritional element for humans and has antioxidant properties.
