PreNAN – food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of premature and low birth weight infants who have reached a body weight of over 1800 g. The product enriches the diet with nutrients that support the infant's development after discharge from the hospital.

Recommended daily intake

* To maintain the appropriate amount of live bacteria cultures, boiled water should be cooled to a temperature close to body temperature (approx. 37°C) before adding the powder.

** Remember: use only the measuring cup provided. Using more or less powder than indicated may lead to dehydration or malnutrition in the infant. Do not change the water to powder ratio without consulting your doctor.

The PreNAN package allows you to prepare approximately 27 100 ml servings, according to the feeding table.

How to use

Before preparing the food, wash your hands thoroughly. Wash the bottle, teat, and cap thoroughly. Then boil them in water for 5 minutes or, if using a steam sterilizer, follow the manufacturer's instructions. Leave the containers covered until ready to use. Boil drinking water and allow it to cool. Referring to the feeding chart, first pour the appropriate amount of water, cooled to 37°C, into the boiled bottle. Add the recommended number of level scoops of powder. Use only the included measuring cup, carefully removing any excess product. Make sure the measuring cup is completely dry and return it to the can. Close the bottle and shake it vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved. Always check the temperature of the finished product just before giving it to your child (e.g., by pouring a few drops on the inside of your wrist).

Safety Warnings

PreNAN must be used under medical supervision. It is not suitable for use in infants with diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy, lactose intolerance, or congenital metabolic disorders such as galactosemia or glucose-galactose malabsorption. This product is not intended for parenteral use.

Contraindications and precautions

Breastfeeding is the most appropriate way to feed infants. Partial or complete replacement of breast milk should be discussed with your pediatrician. Improper preparation, storage, and feeding methods can pose a risk to your baby's health. Unboiled water, unboiled bottles, or improperly prepared products can harm your baby. Prepare only one serving of milk at a time, which you give to your baby immediately, and always follow the instructions. Don't keep leftovers—throw them away. Always hold your baby while feeding. A baby left unattended can choke. When your baby is old enough, switch to a cup.
