Aquacel Foam foam dressings offer you:
- A waterproof protective film that allows excess moisture to evaporate while protecting against viral/bacterial penetration.
- A soft, absorbent foam cushion to increase comfort and absorb excess fluid.
- A hydrofiber wound contact layer that gels upon contact with wound fluid, promotes healing, and allows the patient to shower and bathe.
- A gentle silicone adhesive that offers secure, skin-friendly adhesion as well as easy removal and has a low potential for skin irritation or allergic contact sensitization.
Indication:
Aquacel Foam is suitable for the treatment of acute and chronic, moderately exuding wounds, e.g.:
- Venous leg ulcer
- arterial leg ulcer
- Pressure ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Surgical wounds (skin donor sites)
- Secondarily healing wounds
Aquacel Foam can be used as a primary dressing for superficial wounds and as a secondary dressing for wounds deeper than 3 mm in combination with a wound filler, e.g. Aquacel Extra or Aquacel Ag+ Extra.

- Soft, adaptable and absorbent.
- Barrier against viruses and bacteria.
- Cuttable.
- Effective even under compression.
- It doesn't stick to the glove or to itself.
- Easy to apply and remove.
- Waterproof and suitable for showering.
- Recommended wearing time: maximum 7 days.
