Blood glucose test strips for use with the Bayer Contour XT, Contour Next, Contour Next USB and Contour Next Link blood glucose monitors.
They use a small amount of blood (0.6 µL) that is automatically aspirated by capillary action into the reactive end of the strip: after a 5-second countdown, the glucose concentration in the blood sample automatically appears on the display. The glucose in the blood sample reacts with the enzyme FAD glucose dehydrogenase (FAD-GDH) and the mediator, generating a flow of electrons that produces a current proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample. CONTOUR NEXT strips allow glucose determination in both capillary whole blood and venous blood.

Reagents
Glucose dehydrogenase 21% w/w.
Mediator 54% p/p.
Non-reactive substances 25% w/w.

Conservation
At room temperature (0°-30°C).
Do not expose to direct sunlight and humidity.
Do not remove the desiccant from the package.
