The COSMOPOR Advance wound dressing is a self-adhesive, sterile dressing for the reliable coverage of wounds. It is particularly suitable for postoperative wound care of exuding wounds and for the sterile treatment of minor injuries. Thanks to its soft backing, the dressing is comfortable to wear and therefore also suitable for patients with sensitive skin.

Areas of application

This wound dressing is used to treat fresh surgical wounds, especially those exuding wound fluid. It is also suitable for minor everyday injuries (petty wounds) when sterile coverage is required. Thanks to its skin-friendly properties, this dressing is a particularly suitable choice for sensitive skin areas.

Application

Clean and dry the affected area of ​​skin thoroughly before applying the dressing. Remove the sterile COSMOPOR Advance wound dressing from its packaging and, if necessary, remove the protective film from the adhesive side. Position the dressing so that the wound contact layer completely covers the wound and gently but firmly press the edge of the backing fabric onto the surrounding skin. The dressing should be checked regularly and changed as needed.

Material properties

The dressing consists of a soft backing fleece that feels pleasant against the skin and makes application comfortable. The wound contact layer is a fine-mesh polyethylene net that lies directly on the wound. This structure ensures gentle coverage of the wound.
