These factors can contribute to the deterioration of the lipid layer (e.g., due to a significantly reduced blink rate while using a screen) and lead to excessive evaporation of the tear film. Dry and even watery eyes are then often the result. In such cases, EvoTears® eye drops can provide relief.

The first anhydrous eye drops are very effective in relieving the symptoms of dry eye. Containing the active ingredient perfluorohexyloctane, they don't replace the aqueous component of the tear film, but rather form a protective layer over it, thus preventing premature evaporation. Thanks to their unique flow properties, EvoTears® comes in a convenient dropper bottle that is preservative-free and therefore germ-free. This makes them well-tolerated and gives them a shelf life of 6 months after opening.
