Hametum hemorrhoid ointment was developed for the treatment of hemorrhoids. The active ingredient from witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) relieves the most common symptoms, such as itching and burning, that initially occur with hemorrhoids. At the same time, the ointment base provides the skin with essential moisture, nourishes it, and strengthens its barrier function. Self-medication and long-term treatment

Especially in the early stages of hemorrhoidal symptoms, such as burning and itching, Hametum hemorrhoid preparations are suitable for self-medication due to their good tolerability*. During acute phases, when, for example, lidocaine-containing pain relief ointments are used, the ointment helps to alleviate symptoms as a long-term therapy. Please note that you should not treat hemorrhoids yourself for more than four weeks without consulting a doctor.
