A solution with a high content of sodium hyaluronate (0.5%) which, due to its mucomimetic, pseudoplastic properties, spreads evenly over the ocular surface, forming a protective, viscoelastic bandage. Thus, it stabilizes the tear film and reduces friction and stress caused by eye movements. Cyanocobalamin and taurine, a B vitamin and an amino acid respectively, are physiologically present in the tissues of the anterior segment of the eye and, together with hyaluronic acid, can help in the process of re-epithelialization of the corneal surface. Formulated as a hypotonic solution to counteract any hyperosmolarity of the tear film, its unique saline composition restores and maintains physiological concentrations of important ions, such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, essential for the health of the ocular surface.
