STERILE PARAFFIN GAUZE

Directions:
- minor burns,
- areas of skin collection and grafting,
- wounds with loss of skin, lacerations and abrasions,
- chronic ulcers of the lower limb.

Characteristics:
A sterile, open-weave paraffin tulle dressing. The gauze threads are braided to minimize fraying when the dressing is cut to the desired shape. It has low adhesion and allows free wound drainage, allowing exudate to pass to an absorbent secondary dressing. Jelonet is unmedicated and is therefore ideal for use with topical antiseptics or antibiotics. Available in various sizes, the largest of which is suitable for use in burn units. It is available in different packaging options: a sachet for single application using aseptic technique; or in metal boxes, to facilitate application to large areas of the body, in cases where the entire box must be used in a single application.
