Basic information about the home test for Helicobacter pylori

Performing the test

Allow assays, samples, buffers and/or controls to reach room temperature (15-30°C) before use.

Sampling and preparation:

Unscrew and remove the disposable pipette cap. Be careful not to spill any solution from the solvent bottle.

Collect samples by inserting a disposable pipette into at least 3 different places on the stool.

Place the disposable pipette back into the solvent bottle and screw on the cap. Be careful not to damage the end of the dilution tube.

Shake the solvent bottle well to mix the sample and extraction buffer.

tESTING

Remove the test from the sealed bag and place it on a flat, clean surface.

Remove the top of the solvent bottle. Hold the solvent bottle upright and add 3 drops of solution to the sample area (marked with "S" or "→") of the test cartridge.

Be careful not to trap air bubbles ("S" or "→") in the sample well and prevent the solution from entering the observation window.

When the test starts working, you will see the dye move through the membrane.

The result

Wait for the colored bars to appear. Read the result after 10 minutes. After 20 minutes no more results need to be read.

Interpretation of results

POSITIVE RESULT:

• A colored line appears in the area of ​​the control line (C) and another colored line appears in the area of ​​the control line T.

NEGATED RESULT:

• A colored line will appear in the control line area (C). No line will appear in the test line area (T).

INVALID RESULT:

• The control line does not appear. All test results that did not show control lines within the specified time should be discarded. Review the process and repeat it with a new test.

Examination limits

The rapid H. Pylori Ag (stool) test is intended for in vitro diagnosis only. The test should only be used to detect H. pylori antigens in the stool. With this test, it is not possible to determine the quantitative value or rate of increase in H. pylori antigen concentration.

The rapid H. pylori Ag (stool) test only indicates the presence of H. pylori antigens in the sample and should not be used as the sole criterion for the diagnosis of H. pylori infection.

If the test result is negative and clinical symptoms persist, further testing using other clinical methods is recommended. A negative result does not exclude the possibility of H. pylori infection.
