Description

Nurofen Sinus medicine with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.

Composition

The active substances of the drug are ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride - 1 coated tablet contains: ibuprofen 200 mg, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg

Excipients are:
tablet core : calcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate;
coating ingredients : hypromellose, talc, Opaspray Yellow M-IF-6168 (hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), quinoline yellow (E104) lake, sunset yellow (E110) lake) or Mastercote Yellow FA 0156 (hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), quinoline yellow (E104) lake, sunset yellow (E110) lake);
printing ink : Opacode S-1-277001 (shellac, black iron oxide (E 172), propylene glycol).

Dosage

Always use Nurofen Sinus exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

The drug should be taken orally with plenty of fluid.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: starting dose is 2 tablets. Then, as needed, one to two tablets every 4 to 6 hours. Do not take more than six tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen and 180 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) in 24 hours.

Elderly: No specific dosage adjustments are necessary unless renal or hepatic function is impaired. In such cases, dosage should be individually adjusted.

This medicine should not be given to children under 12 years of age without a doctor's recommendation.
This medicine is for oral administration and occasional use only. If symptoms persist or worsen, or if new symptoms occur, consult your doctor.
Do not use this medicine for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
Taking the medicine at the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms reduces the risk of side effects.
In people with gastrointestinal problems, it is recommended to take the drug with a meal.
If you take more Nurofen Sinus than you should In case of accidental overdose, contact your doctor immediately.
Your doctor will administer symptomatic and supportive treatment. Activated charcoal may be administered within the first hour of taking the medication (adults: 50 g; children: 1 g/kg body weight).
In all symptomatic cases, electrolyte levels should be checked and an electrocardiogram should be performed.
If you forget to take Nurofen Sinus
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet.

Action

Nurofen Sinus Relief is a coated tablet containing 200 mg of ibuprofen and 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. It provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. It reduces swelling and congestion of the nasal mucosa and the amount of discharge. It also unclogs the nose and sinuses.

Indications

Temporarily to relieve the symptoms of nasal and sinus congestion with headache, pain associated with sinus congestion and fever associated with flu or cold.

Contraindications

Do not use Nurofen Sinus in patients:

• with hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, pseudoephedrine or any of the excipients of the medicinal product and to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs);
• with active stomach and/or duodenal ulcer or history of perforation or bleeding, including those occurring after the use of NSAIDs;
• with severe liver failure, severe kidney failure or severe heart failure;
• taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs concomitantly, including COX-2 inhibitors (increased risk of side effects); with severe cardiovascular disease, such as ischemic heart disease, tachycardia and severe hypertension; with narrow-angle glaucoma;
• who experienced urinary retention;
• with hyperthyroidism;
• with bleeding diathesis;
• with a history of hemorrhagic stroke or the presence of risk factors that may increase the likelihood of hemorrhagic stroke, for example, taking vasoconstrictor drugs or other oral or nasal decongestants;
• during pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Nurofen Sinus can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The side effects listed below have been observed when using the drug at over-the-counter, on-demand doses. Other side effects may also occur with long-term use.

Adverse reactions are ranked according to frequency using the following convention:

• Very common: occur in more than 1 in 10 treated patients.
• Common: occurs in less than 1 in 10 but more than 1 in 100 patients.
• Uncommon: less than 1 in 100 but more than 1 in 1,000 patients. Rare: less than 1 in 1,000 but more than 1 in 10,000 patients.
• Very rare: they break out in me) than 1 in 10,000 patients and in isolated cases.

Common: drowsiness, dizziness.

Uncommon: hypersensitivity reaction such as hives and itching, anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, hallucinations, headaches, collapse

Store out of reach of small children.
Store at room temperature.
Protect from light and moisture.
