The dietary supplement Methiophytin is a combination of L-methionine, an acidifier of urine pH, and phytate, a powerful inhibitor of calcium salt crystallization.

COMPOSITION

-L-Methionine: is an amino acid that helps reduce the pH of urine, facilitating the action and effectiveness of antibiotics commonly used to treat urinary tract infections, such as fosfomycin, ampicillin or cephalosporin.
-Phytate: acts as a protective shield against bacteria that cause urinary tract infections (UTIs), preventing their proliferation in the urinary tract.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

• Acute phase: 1 tablet every 8 hours for 5 days, in combination with antibiotic treatment
• Preventive phase: 1 tablet every 24 hours, at night, for at least 6 months
