Description AftiBlock
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
AftiBlock is a medical device specially designed to create a protective film on the surface of the oral mucosa that acts as a barrier against irritation and has a soothing effect on pain.
What does AftiBlock contain?
The active ingredients in AftiBlock are panthenol, which supports the natural healing process of damaged tissue, and glycyrrhizinic acid, which is used locally in allergic or infectious skin inflammations and has anti-inflammatory properties. The other ingredients in AftiBlock are: propylene glycol, water, hydroxyethylcellulose, potassium sorbate, sodium saccharin, citric acid and benzalkonium chloride.
Panthenol or pantothenol is a derivative of pantothenic acid and is used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products as a moisturising agent, helping to heal wounds.
Glycyrrhizinic acid is a triterpene stamine found in liquorice root and is used as a sweetener, emulsifier and gelling agent. Glycyrrhizinic acid is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is used in nappy rash and sunburn, often found in skin protectors, toothpastes and various lozenges for sore throats administered by suction.
What are the indications for AftiBlock?
This product is indicated for mouth ulcers, aphthous stomatitis, oral candidiasis or other conditions, including lesions caused by dental appliances or poorly fitted dentures.

AftiBlock gel, 8 g, Zdrovit.
How is AftiBlock spray administered?
AftiBlock gel is for oral use only. Before using it for the first time, remove the cap and press the spray nozzle until the solution is released. The nozzle should then be directed towards the lesion inside the oral cavity and the solution sprayed until the affected area is completely covered. Do not consume any food or drink for at least one hour after spraying AftiBlock.
AftiBlock spray for children: This product can be used by both adults and children up to 3-4 times a day.
How to use AftiBlock gel?
AftiBlock gel is intended for oral use only. For both adults and children, AftiBlock gel is applied in small amounts of up to 1-2 drops on the surface of the lesion inside the oral cavity approximately 3-4 times a day. Avoid touching the area after applying the gel to allow it to form a protective film and do not consume food or drink for at least one hour after application.
AftiBlock or Anaftin?
Both AftiBlock and Anaftin work by forming a protective barrier over the exposed nerve endings of the lesion that cause pain. The active ingredients in Anaftin are polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), hyaluronic acid, which retains water and thus creates a favourable environment for the healing of the affected tissue, and Aloe Vera extract, which contributes to the natural healing of the ulceration through its moisturising effect that soothes and relieves irritation.
