Detralex is a medicine used to treat symptoms related to venous-lymphatic insufficiency, such as heavy legs, pain or restless legs syndrome, as well as symptoms related to haemorrhoidal crisis. Unlike Fluxiv, which is a dietary supplement, Detralex is a prescription medicine. Take Detralex as prescribed by your doctor or as stated in the package leaflet. Both contain diosmin/hesperidin in a 9:1 ratio, but the amount differs. Fluxiv tablets contain 180 mg/20 mg – the daily dose is 2 tablets per day, i.e. 360 mg/40 mg diosmin/hesperidin. Detralex contains 450 mg diosmin and 50 mg hesperidin. The recommended dose of Detralex for venous-lymphatic insufficiency is 2 tablets per day, taken in two doses – at lunchtime and in the evening with meals.

These two types of products contain diosmin and hesperidin and are indicated for chronic venous insufficiency. Both are administered in doses of 2 tablets per day. However, Devaricid contains 450 mg of diosmin and 50 mg of hesperidin.

Fluxiv and Endolex support the optimal functioning of veins, capillaries and lymphatic vessels. They support the maintenance of normal vascular wall tone and are based on diosmin and hesperidin. Endolex film-coated tablets contain 450 mg of diosmin and 50 mg of hesperidin, along with grape seed extract and chestnut extract.

Fluxiv capsules and Divenoxin support venous circulation and normal blood circulation in the legs. Both contain diosmin and hesperidin. Divenoxin contains 270 mg of diosmin and 30 mg of hesperidin. It also contains thistle extract, vitamin E, 80 mg vitamin C, folic acid, iron and vitamin B12. Divenoxin is administered as 1 tablet per day.

Fluxic tablets contain vitamin C, diosmin/hesperidin in a ratio of 9:1 or 180 mg/20 mg, together with 300 mg troxerutin. Fluxiv cream contains D-panthenol and troxerutin.

Indications for use

Fluxiv tablets are a supplement that supports the proper functioning of blood vessels. It has an antioxidant role, helps the optimal formation of collagen in the vascular walls, protects the cells that line the inside of blood vessels and has a venotonic and vascular protective effect.

Fluxiv cream maintains the elasticity, tone and hydration of the skin. It has an emollient effect, supports microcirculation and provides comfort and relaxation, reducing the feeling of heavy legs.

Dosage and administration

Fluxiv film-coated tablets are administered orally, 1 film-coated tablet twice a day for 2 months. The treatment can be repeated at 1-month intervals. It should be taken with meals with sufficient water.

Fluxiv tonic cream is applied to the legs in a thin layer on intact, clean skin. Apply 2-3 times a day, massaging gently from bottom to top until completely absorbed into the skin. Daily use is recommended.

Contraindications

There are also a number of contraindications for Fluxiv. The product is contraindicated for children, adolescents under 18 years of age and breastfeeding women. In the case of pregnant women, Fluxiv tablets should only be taken on the recommendation of a specialist doctor. It should also not be used in case of allergy to any of the ingredients. Fluxiv for heavy legs in cream form should not be applied to damaged skin.
